WBON/WBOE General Contest Rules

How to Enter Contests:
Contest entries may be submitted as advertised or otherwise prescribed by the Sponsor for each Contest. Entry methods may include one or more of the following: (1) online entry, (2) on-air entry, (3) text-to-enter, or (4) in-app entry
Listeners may enter on-air contests by calling or texting (850) 362-7621 when prompted by the announcer for a specific numbered caller, text message, or when a designated contest cue or trigger is aired. The selected caller or participant will then be eligible to participate in the contest, if applicable, and may win a prize based on successful participation or by being the designated numbered caller. Unless otherwise specified, all times referenced in these rules are Central Time (CT).
No Purchase Necessary:
Unless otherwise noted, no purchase is necessary to enter or win a prize. A purchase will also not improve your chances of winning.
Eligibility Restrictions:
Unless otherwise noted Any listener 18 years of age or older may enter except employees of JVC BROADCASTING, participating sponsors, or other radio stations in the FORT WALTON BEACH/PANAMA CITY BEACH area and their respective families. Family is defined as parents, children, spouses, in-laws, and people in spouse-like relationships, siblings, including those in step and half relations where living in the same household. Those who have been employed by JVC BROADCASTING in the past 90 days are also ineligible. Eligible participants can win a WBON/WBOE contest only once every thirty days and a prize valued at $600 or more only once every six months. Only one winner per household is permitted in any contest.
Prizes:
Prizes may vary. The estimated value of the prize package awarded for each contest is approximately $25.00-$250.00. Prizes are furnished to WBON/WBOE in exchange for promotional consideration.
Prizes are to be redeemed at the WBON/WBOE STUDIOS. In instances where prizes are mailed, WBON/WBOE is not responsible for mis-delivered, non-delivered or damaged prizes.
All winners redeeming a prize in person must bring valid photo identification when claiming their prize. All prizes must be claimed within thirty (30) days of winning. The winner must claim their prize at the WBON/WBOE offices, 111 Ferry rd SE, Fort Walton Beach, Florida – 32548 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday 9:00am-4:00pm. If the prize is not claimed within the allotted time, it will be forfeited by the winner and will become the property of WBON/WBOE. All winners must sign a receipt of prize form and are solely responsible for reporting and paying all taxes on prizes, if applicable.
Contest prizes are not transferable. Prizes may not be substituted for or redeemed for cash, except that WBON/WBOE may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes or cash of comparable value.
Selection of Winners:
Decisions of station management with respect to the contest are final. Based on the specific contest, winners are selected by being the designated caller, or the caller correctly answering the contest’s trivia question(s).
Online/Internet Contests
By the use of the WBON/WBOE website and by entering this contest, contestants agree to the WBON/WBOE website user agreement and privacy policy as described on WBONFM.COM
Only one internet entry per email address is permitted per day during contest periods. Internet entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address, or phone number for “text the studio” contests submitted at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the email address or phone number by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible by assigning email address or the domain associated with the submitted email address or phone number.
In-App Entry:
Listeners may enter designated contests through the official WBON/WBOE mobile application when available. To enter via the app, participants must follow the instructions provided within the contest section of the app, which may include completing an entry form, submitting required information, or engaging with specific contest features.
Limit one (1) in-app entry per person, per contest, per day unless otherwise specified. Multiple entries from the same user in excess of the stated limit may be disqualified at the sole discretion of WBON/WBOE.
Entrants must provide accurate and complete information when entering via the app. Incomplete, false, or fraudulent entries will be disqualified. WBON/WBOE is not responsible for technical issues, including but not limited to app malfunctions, connectivity issues, or interrupted transmissions that may affect the ability to enter.
By submitting an entry through the WBON/WBOE app, participants agree to receive notifications or communications related to the contest, unless they opt out where applicable.
Social Media Contests:
From time to time, WBON/WBOE may conduct contests on or through social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms. Participants may be required to like, comment, share, follow, or otherwise engage with WBON/WBOE social media accounts as part of the entry process, as specified in the contest announcement.
By participating in any social media contest, entrants agree that the contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, or any other social media platform. Participants understand they are providing their information to WBON/WBOE and not to any social media platform.
WBON/WBOE is not responsible for any technical issues, including but not limited to platform outages, connectivity issues, or user account errors that may affect entry or participation. Entries must comply with the terms of service of the applicable social media platform. Any entries that are incomplete, inappropriate, or violate platform guidelines may be disqualified at the sole discretion of WBON/WBOE.
Conditions:
As a consequence of delays in the online streaming of the WBON/WBOE signal compared to over-the-air broadcasts, online listeners may be at a disadvantage in attempting to participate in on-air contests. Entrants are encouraged to listen to the Station on-air. WBON/WBOE is not responsible for online streaming delays. WBON/WBOE is not responsible for technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to phone, text, app, internet, or server issues that may affect entry or participation.
WBON/WBOE disclaims any responsibility for a participant’s inability to complete a telephone call- or text message, whether due to telephone equipment malfunction, busy lines, or otherwise. WBON/WBOE also disclaims any responsibility for a participant’s inability to claim their prizes. By participating in the contest, the winner agrees to allow their name, voice and/or likeness to be used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest for a period of one year without additional financial or other compensation, where applicable by law.
By participating in this contest, each winner agrees to hold WBON/WBOE, JVC BROADCASTING and the respective officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless from and against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.
These rules are subject to the interpretation of WBON/WBOE. Any aspect of these rules, including the substitution of a prize or prizes of equivalent or greater value, can be changed at the discretion of WBON/WBOE, such changes will become effective upon on-air or other appropriate announcement.
No purchase is necessary. The contest is void where prohibited.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received and the method of entry.
Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification, at the sole discretion of WBON/WBOE. WBON/WBOE reserves the right to disqualify any participant found to be tampering with the entry process, violating contest rules, or acting in a disruptive or unsportsmanlike manner.
WBON/WBOE is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcements of any prize.
WBON/WBOE reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the contest if any fraud, technical failure, or other factor impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the contest, as determined by WBON/WBOE in its sole discretion.
